Free Game: OpenArena

If you ever played Quake 3 Arena back in the day, then this game needs no introduction.

Warning: This game is not suitable for very young audiences.

Open Arena is a FREE and open-source first-person shooter (FPS).

If you're interested in a free but decent FPS, then OpenArena is the game for you. With different types of maps and character skins available, there is no excuse not to start FRAGGING other players.

Different modes are available in-game such as:
-Capture The Flag
-Free For All
-Deathmatch
-Tournament

There is a single player option where you can play against bots.
You can also play against your friends at a LAN party or via the Internet.

Operating Systems Supported:
You can play this on Windows, Linux, and Mac.

Minimum System requirements:
-Pentium 166 MHz processor
-64 MB of RAM
-8 MB video card with OpenGL acceleration

*Since it has relatively low system requirements, OpenArena can run on old computers.

Why is it FREE?
In 2005, id Software (creators of Quake III Arena) released the source code for the game engine under the GNU General Public License.
